Interview with Adam of Disrotted

Hey all, been a while. Coming up next month, Chicago's morbid Doom troupe Disrotted will be playing a Honshu tour with Su19b to commemorate the release of their new split CD on Tokyo's own Obliteration Records. I caught up with Adam of Disrotted to pick his brain about the history & themes of the band, as well as their expectations of the upcoming tour. Japanese and English follow below:

Riding into the New Year

Readers of BEnB will no doubt know that it is lead by members of Tokyo metalers Retch. To ring in the New Year, two of us heathens biked our way up to Utsunomiya. As a newer contributor to this blog, it seems fitting that my inaugural post recount this recent New Year's trip.

About Bloody Ears & Beer

Many years ago, this blog was started to document the Japanese underground extreme music scene. That eventually morphed into Kaala, and we succeeded in building it up to a national scale, supporting the scene and getting the word out.

But the world of extreme music doesn't start and end in Japan... so we upped some of us and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and here we are.

So, while we're getting things going here, and before everything's all pretty, we decided to boot up BE&B again as the incipient version of Kaala PGH. And, probably, BE&B will function like that wherever we go spreading the gospel of extreme music the world over.

So if you see BE&B talking about your city, cover your ears and run for cover cause its about to get loud.
