About Bloody Ears & Beer

Many years ago, this blog was started to document the Japanese underground extreme music scene. That eventually morphed into Kaala, and we succeeded in building it up to a national scale, supporting the scene and getting the word out.

But the world of extreme music doesn't start and end in Japan... so we upped some of us and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and here we are.

So, while we're getting things going here, and before everything's all pretty, we decided to boot up BE&B again as the incipient version of Kaala PGH. And, probably, BE&B will function like that wherever we go spreading the gospel of extreme music the world over.

So if you see BE&B talking about your city, cover your ears and run for cover cause its about to get loud.
